In the same way as a smartphone, a Roku device allows people to choose, and download, a wide range of apps you can then open and enjoy. In the case of Roku, each of these apps is a TV channel people can stream. The devices require minimal setup and connect to the internet the same way your PC does. Roku media streaming devices incorporate an operating system (OS) that allows users to access and manage internet streaming content.

In visible growth, our customer is a prestigious company based in the UK and develops solutions in the field of computer science and new technologies, for customers spread all over the world. In Portugal, our client has offices in Funchal and Covilhã and is now looking for a Roku Developer to join their team, in either of these locations.

 

The requirements for this job vacancy are:

BSc Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
Good knowledge of English
Office 365
RESTful APIs
SVN version control
MVC
Analytics (Firebase, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
VAST
Multimedia Streaming
eCommerce
JSON and XML
UI modeling
Design Patterns
Object-oriented programming + Scripting languages
